Last Friday, nine RAF CCF pupils travelled to Boscombe Down to fly with the RAF. Despite rain as they travelled to Boscombe Down, the weather was beautiful when it needed it to be.  The four Year 13 cadets that went were all able to fly one last time before their exams and ultimately leaving the CCF, while the Year 10 cadets were able to finally get up in the air for the first time.  All cadets were extremely happy and the discussions about which aerobatics they all did was brilliant!

On Thursday a number of pupils took the opportunity to perform their programmes for upcoming Trinity and ABRSM exams. The performances ranged from individual Brass items to entire grade 8 Violin programmes. The concert is designed to give the performers a taste of performing with some adrenalin, in front of a very supportive audience. We wish them all the best of luck for the exams.

Congratulations to all Year 7 pupils who had their effort party and top 10% club this week. They all received a prize and a certificate. Well done! Keep up the good work.

Year 10 French pupils enjoyed 45 minutes of language immersion on Friday as the Onatti Theatre Company treated pupils to a play entirely in French. As well as being great entertainment, the play also gave pupils the opportunity to practise listening to French for a sustained period, perfectly timed for the upcoming Year 10 exams. The play was interactive, so several pupils also had the chance to practise their French on stage, as shown by the photos. They did brilliantly, showing off great language and acting skills!
